I love all in one printers. It is such a space saving device. A few years ago I bought a HP PSC 1350. After looking for new printers today just to see what’s the latest and what are the cool features, this new Canon Pixma MP800R caught my attention.
Print-Copy-Scan plus direct printing.
The PIXMA MP800R Photo All-In-One offers the freedom of wireless printing and scanning, along with exceptional print-copy-scan performance. It produces an amazing print resolution for superb detail and clarity. Canon uses a so called full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering (FINE) which uses a next-generation 3,584-nozzle print head that ejects precise, consistent droplets as small as 1 picoliter, for smooth, virtually grain-free images. Whew…that was a long sentence, but it just translates to a better, exceptional quality print images.
The convenient Photo/Film button allows you to make reprints of your photos and 35mm film without using your computer. As a scanner, the unit’s high-resolution CCD technology enables you to produce exceptional 2400-dpi scans, with vibrant 48-bit color depth.
With its extra-large 3.5″ LCD color viewer and memory card slots, this versatile All-In-One lets you view and enhance your images, then print them directly from compatible memory cards. You can also print directly from a PictBridge ready device such as a digital camera. You can even print right from an infrared-enabled mobile phone, or from compatible Bluetooth devices using an optional USB Bluetooth adapter.
The freedom of wireless printing and scanning.
This is the one I like most about the Canon Pixma MP800R. It conforms to the IEEE 802.11b/g wireless (WiFi) standard, enabling it to receive 54 Mbps wireless transmissions from up to 164 feet away. You can print to it or scan from it using an individual WiFi-enabled computer, or integrate it into a full wireless home network- so the whole family can print and scan wirelessly. It uses WiFi Protected Access (WPA) to help make your wireless printing more secure. And if your home or small office uses a mix of Windows and Mac computers, no problem; the MP800R is designed to work with both.
