Rover TV Is A Bow WOW
Published by John June 22nd, 2006 in Portable Media Player
Portable media players that call themselves “pocket size” usually live up to that claim based on the size of the screen, and the size of the pocket. Rover TV claims to have succeeded by skipping the hard drive and using flash drive and SD cards for memory.Â
Available in a 3.5 inch “big screen” and a 4 inch “wide screen” version, Rover TV can record programming direct from the AV outputs of a TV, DVD, CD, FM (FM receiver built-in) or computer outputs. It promises to support TiVo To Go, iTunes, BurnLounge as well as just about any still photo format. If you’d like to play something back through your full-size TV, Rover TV will do that, too.Â
The built-in lithium ion battery promises six hours of video or twelve hours of audio. And it comes complete with a 1 gig SD and a 2 gig SD card, enough to store 11 hours of video or 4200 songs, as long as they aren’t all Stairway to Heaven.    Â
