Owning A Mitsubishi Swiveling LCD TV Is A Moving Experience
Published by John October 5th, 2006 in TV
Remember the scene in the horror movie, where someone’s walking through a spooky old house, and the eyes on the painting on the wall seem to be following him? (There’s actual, bona-fide scientific research on this phenomenon. Where do they get the money to study these things, anyway?)
Mitsubishi has come up with a line of LCD TVs based on roughly the same principle. There’s a servo motor built into the swivels on these newest Mitsubishi LCD models (we’re referring to the TV models, not the models who are pointing them out). Press the button on the remote control, and the TV “follows” you by gently swiveling in your direction. (Pricing and availability on these new Mitsubishis has not been announced.)
We realize this technology encourages laziness and may result in the world’s obesity crisis becoming that much worse. But it doesn’t seem to be having an adverse effect on the model with the remote control, does it?
