As Zune As You’re Ready: 3rd Party Zune Accessories

Microsoft’s new Zune media players won’t be shipping until mid-November (retailers including Wal-Mart are taking preorders) but already we’ve got a nice Zune-dock+speaker-unit on its way; the M602 Altec Lansing.
Of course, it’s not as if AL had to design it from the ground up. They took a model that had already been designed for iPod, and rejiggered it to fit the Zune. 60 watts of power, wireless remote, such a deal. No definitive word on pricing for the Zune version, but the one for iPod goes for about $200.
And if you’d like a little light reading to go with your new Zune, may we suggest the Zune Pocket Guide by Bart Farkas, from Peachpit Press, due out at the end of this year. About $10.
