Feet Of Strength: FreeCharge Weza Foot Pump Generator
Published by John October 25th, 2006 in Car Gadgets, Home Gadgets
We’ve all seen the hand-crank radios and flashlights that will keep going even when the Energizer bunny’s batteries are gone. Here’s an idea that might get your car rolling, when its battery’s gone.
The FreeCharge Weza generator uses the power of your feet to pump up enough energy to charge its built-in 12-volt battery. That battery, in turn, can be used to jump start your car, or with adapters, provide emergency power for all kinds of other electrical goodies that might need it. (You can also charge its self-contained battery by plugging it into an AC outlet, or your car battery.) About $270.
How much pumping will it take to charge up? We’re not sure, but too much pumping could lead to.. you guessed it, the agony of de feet.
